Adper Single Bond Plus Adhesive

Introduced in 2004, Adper Single Bond Plus total-etch adhesive is based on the clinically proven chemistry of Adper Single Bond Adhesive.1-6 It was named a Top-10 Nanotech Product in the Third Annual Forbes/Wolfe Nanotech Report Product Guide (December 2004).

Adper Single Bond Plus adhesive is excellent for all direct, light-cured bonding procedures. It is recommended for anterior restorations (Class IV and V) with less surface to bond, indirect restorations, and seating veneers. Its low film thickness makes the product ideal for use on veneers, inlays, and onlays. The product is also recommended for root surface desensitization and porcelain and composite repair.

The stand-out features of Adper Single Bond Plus adhesive include:

High bond strength and low sensitivity. As with the original Adper Single Bond adhesive, Adper Single Bond Plus adhesive contains the moisture-tolerant Vitrebond copolymer in a water/ethanol solvent. Because it is ethanol based, it won’t evaporate on the tooth. Adper Single Bond Plus adhesive uses a unique bonded silica nanofiller to achieve high bond strength and low postoperative sensitivity.

No shaking required, ever. This highly dispersed bonded nanofiller does not allow particles to cluster together, so particles are stable and will not settle out of dispersion. This guarantees a more consistent mix with no shaking required, unlike some filled adhesives.

Fast and easy dispensing. Adper Single Bond Plus adhesive is available in a unit-dose system that facilitates quick and easy dispensing.

Adper Easy Bond Self-Etch Adhesive

Adper Easy Bond adhesive, introduced in September 2007, was built on a strong tradition of bonding technology performance that started with Adper Scotchbond Multi-Purpose adhesive and Adper Single Bond Plus adhesive.

Adper Easy Bond adhesive is indicated for all classes of fillings; core buildups made of light-cured composite; repair of composite or compomer fillings; root surface desensitization; and intraoral repair of existing composite, porcelain-fused-to-metal, and allceramic restorations. It is especially useful for posterior regions.

Adper Easy Bond adhesive boasts the following important features:

Convenience and ease of use. Adper Easy Bond adhesive requires only 3 steps: application to the tooth surface for 20 seconds, drying for 5 seconds, and light curing for 10 seconds.

High bond strength. Independent tests of Adper Easy Bond adhesive show that its bond strength equals that of 1- bottle and 2-bottle self-etch systems.7

Good marginal integrity. A study of class V restorations comparing Adper Easy Bond adhesive and other adhesive systems8 found the product to have good marginal integrity, with the percentage of continuous margins after thermocycling 99.9% on enamel and 97.7% on dentin.

Reduced postoperative sensitivity. When bonding to dentin with Adper Easy Bond adhesive, the etch and adhesive penetration occur simultaneously, and at the same depth, forming a hybrid layer, ensuring low nanoleakage.9 This simultaneous penetration keeps the collagen fibers from collapsing and eliminates dependence on “moist” bonding systems, which can be associated with postoperative sensitivity.

Lower risk of contamination. Adper Easy Bond adhesive is recommended for cases where contamination potential is a concern (pediatric, geriatric patients).
