The AEU-7000-70V is a complete system for implant/oral surgery procedures, including osteotomy, tapping, threading, bone contouring, and extracting. Additionally, with a simple change of handpieces, this system is excellent for any high-speed procedure, such as crown preparations, caries removal, and to efficiently cut through crowns or bridges. Six reprogrammable preset buttons allow the user to access commonly used settings at the touch of a button. An integrated dynamometer allows for precise calibration of any reduction handpiece to accurately measure the handpiece’s ratio and efficiency. The large-button keypad also simplifies adjusting handpiece ratio, speed, torque, and irrigation flow settings. The AEU-7000-70V includes a powerful, brushless autoclaveable 40,000 rpm micromotor. Clinicians can adjust the torque up to 60 Ncm, enabling a single, efficient 20:1 reduction handpiece to perform the drilling, tapping, and placement functions of the implant procedure. The system can be enhanced with the optional AHP-85MB-C handpiece, which is one of the best 20:1 reduction handpieces available, and is supplied with an adjustable stop that controls the depth of the osteotomy. -Jason Schwartz
