Directions for Use
Patients should be directed to use flouride rinses, gels, or pastes immediately after brushing or flossing and just prior to sleep to obtain the maximum effect from topical flouride. Patients should be directed to avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing the mouth for 30 minutes after using topical flouride. Clinical data are unavailable yet on whether topical fluorides interact with other medicines or herbal supplements, so patients should be assessed on a caseby- case basis.
