Form Meets Function Ring placement is made easier with a groove in the bottom of each tip that allows placement directly over and around the wedge.
The new Composi-Tight 3D Sectional Matrix System from Garrison Dental Solutions features the new Soft Face 3DRing with contoured soft silicone faces that mold sectional matrix bands to the teeth. The result is an improved anatomical shape without buccal or lingual flash when performing Class II posterior composite restorations.
The tips of the new Soft-Face 3D-Ring are wider than standard separator rings, allowing placement on wider embrasures. The reinforcing overmold enhances ring tension and longevity by providing maximum separation.
Each 3D-Ring tip has a firm core that directs the ring tension interproximally for increased tooth separation and tighter contacts. The contoured sectional matrix bands create proper tooth anatomy, while 2 styles of rings create the required tooth separation and band adaptation for a tight, natural contact.
The thin tine G-Ring (gray) is used in certain conditions where the shape of the dentition will not allow the contoured shape of the Soft Face 3D-Ring (orange) to grip tightly around the tooth, such as the distal of a canine. The Introductory Kit includes the Soft Face 3D-Rings, thin tine GRings for difficult dentition, a selection of five sizes of sectional matrix bands and a custom ring placement forceps. —Jason Schwartz
