RF America’s DiscoveryPad is an all-in-one, wireless touch-screen intraoral imaging system building on their debut of Discoverycenter2 last November. DiscoveryPad is a 10” LCD touch-screen tablet with up to 6 hours of battery life. Its light weight (2.86lbs) and small size is ideal for the dentist to move around in the office.
DiscoveryPad includes a new adjustable focus wireless intraoral camera, which features an adjustable focal length from macro to full smile. It also features a 16-image onboard memory, user-replaceable lithium-ion battery, 6 bright LED lights, and a sealed fog-free optical lens. With the integrated imaging software, images can be saved directly into the patient’s profile. The dentist can then select saved images and display single, double, quad, or slide show for case presentation.
The DiscoveryPad employs wireless SD technology, allowing the dentist to wirelessly import and export captured images between any device with an SD memory slot in the office. All of this is achieved without the heavy investment of putting computers in each operatory. The user-friendly system requires minimal training and installation, and is ready to use right out of the box.
DiscoveryPad is compatible with all Discovery products. Users that own previous versions of the Discoverycenter or Discovery camera can integrate DiscoveryPad to their existing configuration. — Bob Alaburda
