Ultrasonics remain the procedural choice when removing intracanal obstructions lodged deep within the root canal system. On occasion, ultrasonic trephining procedures are limited, or prove ineffective.
In these instances, DENTSPLY Tulsa Dental’s File Removal System may be used to engage and remove intracanal obstructions, such as silver points, carrier-based obturators, or broken file segments. The system was designed by Clifford J. Ruddle, DDS, and is available in 3 sizes: Black (19 gauge), Red (21 gauge), and Yellow (24 gauge).
