Only 1 application is
required. Once cured, the restorative can be immediately
placed over Go!. Go! is indicated for bonding
direct resin-based restorations, bonding indirect
restorations, bonding composite to old amalgam,
repairing composite, sealing exposed root surfaces,
sealing cavities before placing restorations, treating
hypersensitivity, desensitizing cervical areas, and
preparing crowns.
Ease of Use
The following steps are required when using Go!:
- Clean and isolate the tooth.
- Remove excess water. Some moisture is preferred,
but Go! works on dry surfaces.
- Apply Go! to saturate internal surfaces and leave
in place for 20 seconds.
- Blow firmly with dry, oil-free air for 5 seconds.
- Light cure for 10 seconds.
- Apply restorative material according
to manufacturer’s intructions.
When the evaluators were asked to
rate the ease of use of Go!, 2 rated it as
excellent, 2 rated it as very good, and 2
rated it as good. One evaluator
described Go! “as simple to use and
easy to dispense.”
Ease of Activation
When the 6 dentists who participated
in this evaluation were asked about the
importance of ease of activation when
purchasing a dental adhesive, 4 said it is
very important and 2 said it is important.
When the evaluators were then
asked to rate Go! on ease of activation,
4 rated it as excellent and 2 rated it as
very good. One evaluator said, “The
handling of the material was simple,
both for me and my dental assistant.”
Usefulness of Color Change Indicator
The initial color of Go! is dark yellow.
After the material is cured, it
becomes clear to indicate that the
restoration can be placed. When the
evaluators were asked about the usefulness
of the color change, 2 rated it as
excellent, 1 rated it as very good, 2
rated it as good, and 1 rated it as poor.
One evaluator said that he “could not
see the [color] change on the tooth.”
Another evaluator said that “while the
color change is minimal it does help you
tell when the bond is set.”
Working Time and Setting Time
The evaluators were asked to rate
the working time and the setting time of
Go! self-etch adhesive. Two evaluators
rated both the working and setting
times as excellent, 3 rated them as very
good, and 1 rated them as good.
Overall Satisfaction
At the end of the evaluation, the dentists
who participated were asked to give
their overall satisfaction rating for Go!.
One evaluator rated it as excellent, 3
rated it as very good, 1 rated it as good,
and 1 rated it as fair. One evaluator said,
“All in all, Go! is a nice addition to the
plethora of bonding products on the
market.” Another evaluator said, “I didn’t
have any reports of postoperative sensitivity,
and none of the restorations [I
placed using Go!] came out after about 3
months.” This evaluator went on to say
that Go! “is a material I would buy and
definitely recommend to my colleagues.”
