Amalgam waste discharged from dental offices into the environment is contributing to mercury pollution, which has become a growing concern. As a result, more and more states mandate the installation of amalgam separation devices in dental offices. The Guardian amalgam collector is designed to remove dental amalgam from dental waste water before it is discharged into the environment.

The recycling process is safe and simple: Guardian provides a system that takes care of separating, collecting, and recycling of amalgam waste. The collector is easily replaced on a regular basis depending on the amount of amalgam collected. In an average practice (1 to 2 users), collection occurs approximately every 9 to 12 months. Guardian removes over 99% of the suspended amalgam from waste water and exceeds national and local regulations per ISO 11143.
