Instruments for Intraoral Adjustments of Titanium Abutments

KOMET USA has recently introduced new special tungsten carbide instruments for intraoral adjustments on titanium abutments.

Titanium abutments used to receive a crown or bridge are either prefabricated or custom made by dental laboratories. Dentists sometime must make slight adjustments to the abutments to achieve optimum restoration positioning. KOMET burs effectively work on titanium abutments and should be followed by a matching finishing bur, easily identified by its red ring. The bur’s coarse, crosscut toothing, specially developed for intraoral preparation of titanium, cuts tough titanium without clogging. Shaping burs and finishing burs are each available in 3 different sizes.
