Fifteen clinicians evaluated LUV Nitrile Gloves, rating such features as comfort, ease of donning, scent, and color. The clinicians also weighed in on their overall satisfaction with the gloves.

Comfort and Sizing

LUV Nitrile Gloves’ comfort was rated as excellent by 7 evaluators, as very good by 6, as good by 1, and as fair by 1. One evaluator with 16 years in practice said, “I found myself actually choosing these gloves over my latex gloves at certain points, like when I worked with children, without fear of too much constriction or discomfort of my hands.” Another evaluator said that the wrist was somewhat loose on the gloves, but rated the glove’s comfort as very good overall. Another evaluator with 13 years in dentistry noted, “they were very soft and left my hands feeling soft and moisturized.”

Tacticle Sensitivity and Grip

LUV Nitrile Gloves’ tactile sensitivity was rated as excellent by 5 evaluators, as very good by 7, as good by 1, and as fair by 2. Grip was rated as excellent or very good by 8 evaluators, as good by 6 evaluators and as fair by 1 evaluator.

Scent and Color

Several evaluators remarked on the LUV Nitrile Gloves’ scent and color, with 11 evaluators rating the scent as very good or good, 2 rating it as fair and 2 as poor. Discussing color, 10 evaluators rated the color as very good or good, 4 rated it fair and 1 rated it poor. An evaluator who noted that the color and scent were good said, “The scent could be eliminated. The less chemicals that I’m in contact with repeatedly throughout the day the better...but leave the aloe in!” An evaluator with 19 years in the business said that she would like to see a more neutral color. A representative from Cranberry USA pointed out that color and scent are somewhat subjective criteria, based on individual preferences, but she noted that Cranberry USA’s feedback on scent and color has been overwhelmingly positive, in both independent studies and based on feedback from clinicians at trade shows.

Donning and Tear Resistance

When considering purchasing gloves, several of the evaluators noted ease of donning and tear resistance as top qualities they consider. Fourteen evaluators noted ease of donning as either very important or important when considering purchasing gloves for the office, and all 15 evaluators said that tear resistance was either very important or important.

When asked about tear resistance while donning, 4 evaluators rated it as excellent, 1 rated it as very good, 6 rated it as good, and 3 as fair. One evaluator with 13 years in dentistry noted, “these gloves are thin and don’t restrict my movement. I have long, thin fi ngers and they don’t give me webbed fi ngers like a lot of [other] nitrile gloves.”

Overall Satisfaction

Overall satisfaction with these gloves was rated as excellent by 5 evaluators, as very good by 5, as good by 2, and as fair by 3. One evaluator said, “This is the first non-latex glove I’ve ever worn that feels as though I am not wearing a glove at all. Fit, stretch, flexibility and grip are excellent. I really can’t say enough good things about this glove. We have already ordered more for the office.”
