For those who prefer a manually-tuned tuned scaler, Parkell offers its Manual/Auto-Tune magnetostrictive scaler. This scaler allows the operator to instantly switch from manual tune (for subgingival scaling) to auto-tune (for conventional supragingival scaling). The dentist or hygienist simply pulls the knob to initiate the manual mode and after choosing the approximate frequency with the basic adjustment knob, the vernier knob allows for precise fine-tuning. Dual tuning knobs allow precise frequency adjustment.
