NanoTite Tapered PREVAIL

The new BIOMET 3i NanoTite Tapered PREVAIL implant includes the PREVAIL platform switching feature to aid clinicians pursuing the preservation of crestal bone and soft tissue for esthetic outcomes. Built-in platform switching—moving the implant abutment junction in from the implant shoulder—is intended to limit the reformation of the biologic width and thereby potentially limit crestal bone loss.

The implant’s tapered design approximates the shape of a natural tooth root and offers an innovative thread angle, depth, and pitch to produce an anchoring “bite-in-bone” response for establishing primary stability. Threads widen laterally while extending to the apical end, providing stability throughout the length of the implant while maximizing bone-to-implant contact.
