SUREFIL SDR flow

SUREFIL SDR flow by DENTSPLY CAULK

SureFil SDR flow from DENTSPLY Caulk is the first ever bulkfill flowable base. This formulation streamlines restoration procedures with self-leveling handling and bulk filling/curing, which results in a 40% savings in placement time.

The chemical structure of the stress-reducing resin (SDR) technology controls and optimizes matrix formation through every phase of curing. Polymerization stress is reduced by up to 60% without sacrificing the 20-second cure time, enabling bulk filling (up to 4 mm) and curing for fast and easy restorations.

SureFil SDR flow can be placed up to the dentin enamel junction or in 4-mm increments, eliminating the need for incremental layering. In addition, it is chemically compatible with methacrylate-based universal composites as a capping agent, creating the desired esthetics and wear resistance for occlusal surfaces.

Dental Product Shopper evaluated SureFil SDR flow in its September 2009 issue. The evaluators gave it a final score of 4.4, making it a Dental Product Shopper Best Product. One evaluator described SureFil SDR flow as having “good consistency and flowability…easy to place.” Another evaluator said, “SureFil SDR flow cures solidly and quickly without having to create several layers, saving placement and curing time.”
