The Piranha diamond line of single-patient-use burs from SS White offers a variety of sizes and grits, as well as short and “shorter-than-short” shanks. Patented dual cross channels flush debris and reduce clogging for a fast, cool cut. Deep, blade-like channel edges help increase cutting speed. Because medium grit diamonds are used, bulk reduction can be performed with little or no finishing.
These diamonds are designed for crown and bridge, pit and fissure, and finishing procedures. SS White now offers more than 500 Piranha single-patient-use diamonds in 6 grits, making it the broadest line. The manufacturer’s 25 individually packed diamonds— in a self-dispensing carton—make Piranha as easy and convenient to dispense as it is to use. SS White also includes its logo on each bur for easy recognition. Piranha diamonds offer a fresh cut every time, while eliminating the danger of crosscontamination.
SS White also offers a turbo diamond with its Piranha line—Piranha 2X. This turbo diamond features a patented double- helix designed channel that effectively flushes debris and reduces clogging. According to SS White, Piranha 2X burs cut signifi cantly cooler than competitive diamonds and turbo diamonds in independent testing, which is important in the bulk reduction required for crown preps. Piranha 2X turbo diamonds are available in medium grit for a smooth finish. All SS White Piranha diamonds are ISO 13485 certified for quality and consistency.
