I began my dental career in a large group practice that I started in 1982. I sold my interest in the practice in 2005 and opened a solo office. I work part-time at a women's prison and am actively involved in my state dental association and local district dental society, presently serving as a member of its executive council.
I am a past member of the R.V. Tucker Society and emphasize old gold inlay restorations in my practice. I serve as the chairman of the board for a non-profit organization that owns and manages group homes for the developmentally disabled in Wisconsin. Other than golf and flying, that about takes up all my time.
I was an engineering major in college and enjoy testing the new gadgets and products Dental Product Shopper asks me to evaluate. I got interested in dentistry when the chairman of the dental school's biomaterials department presented a seminar on dental materials to my engineering class. I thought the "exotic" materials of dentistry were fascinating, so I applied to dental school and the rest, as they say, is history.
