PLANMECA USA introduces the ProMax 3D Max digital imaging system, featuring cone beam technology that allows for full anatomical 1-to-1 visualization of anatomy without distortion, greatly reducing the guesswork of interpretation. This approach offers a significant improvement over film and 2D technology as a diagnostic tool for implants, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
The ProMax 3D Max has varying size volume selections from 5 cm x 5.5 cm to 23 cm x 26 cm, providing the best choice of volume based on clinical need. This means there is no need to take a cone beam volume of the entire head if only a single tooth site needs to be visualized. In select cases where the entire maxillofacial/cranial region is needed, the system can easily fi t that need as well.
The ProMax 3D Max allows the clinician to use the least amount of radiation (approximately 10% of a traditional medical CT) to achieve the best results possible. The ability to have so many volume selections and use the least amount of radiation possible is due to the patented Selectively Compliant Articulated Robotic Arm technology built into its ProMax platform.
