ProOptions Caries Indicator

The ProOptions Caries Indicator allows the user to identify caries in difficult to see locations such as under overhanging enamel of a Class I, II, or II preparation. Available in 2 colors, Caries Red is used as a fast, easy way to locate the root canal, while Caries Green is used as a way to indicate non-mineral dentin for removal.

ProOptions Caries Indicators contain drug and cosmetic dyes in a glycol base that stains carious dentin red and dark-green to black. Because the dye stains carious dentin only, this helps avoid over-excavating deep caries and assists in conservative, accurate cavity preparations while also eliminating the chance of mistaking pulp for stained dentin, as with conventional red-caries indicators.
