Product Description
To ensure adequate facial protection for any type of procedure,
the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM)
recommends to only select ASTM-rated masks. Depending
on the testing performance results, the standard is able to categorize
each mask according to 3 barrier levels: low, moderate, and high.
If you are looking for maximum facial protection, Medicom recommends
their new ASTM high barrier Premier Elite mask.
Safe+Mask Premier Elite exceeds the ASTM high barrier Safe+Mask
standard by providing a bacterial and submicron particulate filtration
efficiency (at 0.1 μm) over 99%, a resistance to synthetic blood
penetration of 160 mm Hg, and a differential pressure below 5.0
mm H2O/cm2.
This high barrier mask is ideal for oral exams for high-risk
patient procedures involving high levels of spray, spatter, and airborne
particles; ultrasonic scalers and high-speed aerosols; air polishers;
air-water syringes; and oral surgery (tooth extractions, maxillofacial
reconstruction).
In addition to the high performance standards, this mask offers a
shingle pleat design to prevent fluid pooling and cross-contamination,
comfortable stretchy latex free earloops, and an adjustable nosepiece
