Available from Crosstex International, SaniTyze Waterless Moisturizing Antimicrobial Gel contains Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Keratin, and Liposomes.
SaniTyze moisturizes, conditions, and softens skin while combating dryness. Additionally, SaniTyze is latex compatible as it contains no lanolin or petroleum-based emollients.
Nearly 90% of disease transmission is linked to hand contamination, so hand hygiene is considered an important infection control practice. SaniTyze can make hand asepsis compliance more likely as it is easy, fast, and causes less chapping than soap and water.
To use SaniTyze, Crosstex suggests following the 2003 Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations: wash hands with soap and water when soiled to remove visible blood or other potentially infectious material, then use alcohol-based hand rub for routinely decontaminating hands in a combined protocol with handwashing.
SaniTyze is available in 2-, 4-, and 8-oz bottles, 18-oz pump bottle, and 1000-mL pouch.
