BISCO’s New SELECT HV ETCH

SELECT HV ETCH delivers accurate placement and an antimicrobial agent in a single thixotropic etchant.

BISCO introduces SELECT HV ETCH, a new high-viscosity etchant containing benzalkonium chloride, a proven antimicrobial agent. SELECT HV ETCH is formulated for maximum working and handling, pin-point placement performance, and eliminating run-on onto the dentin surface.

The brilliant blue coloring of SELECT HV ETCH, makes this phosphoric acid ideal for clinicians using the selective etch or hybrid technique— etching enamel margins without etching dentin—as well as for everyday etching where deep color differentiation is important.

Intended for use on enamel, dentin, and as a cleaning agent for restorative substrates, SELECT HV ETCH will effectively remove the smear layer and etch and demineralize enamel and dentin, producing the necessary microretentive surface for successful bonding. The thixotropic etchant rinses away cleanly and quickly, leaving no residue. SELECT HV ETCH is available in a 40-ml bulk syringe system kit and a four - 5g package. —Bob Alaburda

Note: Inclusion of BAC has not been shown to correlate with a reduction in secondary decay in patients. In-vivo clinical studies to evaluate the effects of BAC on oral bacteria or caries have not been performed.
