An ergonomic disposable syringe with bendable tip permits easy application of Traxodent directly into the sulcus. After 2 minutes, it is rinsed, leaving an open, retracted sulcus. The soft paste produces gentle pressure on the sulcus while absorbing excess crevicular fluid. The aluminum chloride creates an astringent effect without irritating or discoloring surrounding tissue.
Traxodent provides quick effective retraction and saves chair time because no hemostatic solutions are necessary. Traxodent also stops bleeding and crevicular seepage while retraction is occurring. Because of little pressure on the sensitive tissue, patients are kept comfortable during the retraction process. Premier Retraction Caps can be used to gently guide Traxodent into the sulcus to enhance tissue deflection. Cap samples are included in each Traxodent kit.
