Virtual CADbite Registration Material

The fresh, minty scent of Virtual CADbite makes bite-registration more pleasant for the patient.

Ivoclar Vivadent is pleased to introduce the newest addition to its Virtual line of impression materials, Virtual CADbite—fast, strong, and scannable bite-registration material. This optimized bite-registration material is perfect for CAD/CAM processes and is available with low-volume mixing tips for greater efficiency and decreased material waste. It is also excellent for conventional bite-registration techniques. Peppermint scented, Virtual CADbite material sets in just 45 seconds, substantially reducing the risk of distortions or inaccuracies from patient jaw movement.

Virtual CADbite is a bite registration material from the CAD/CAM material expert Ivoclar Vivadent. Virtual CADbite scannable registrations can be used for the optical recording of data with CAD/CAM systems such as CEREC.

Virtual CADbite is an addition-reaction silicone that also can be used for conventional bite-registration techniques in conjunction with indirect restorative procedures.

Because of the material’s high final hardness of 32 Shore D and high fracture toughness, it is easy to trim and grind. In addition, undesirable shifts are prevented when adjusting the position of the casts in the articulator.

Virtual CADbite requires an intraoral set time of only 45 seconds, substantially reducing the risk of distortions or inaccuracies because of patient jaw movements. At the same time, Virtual CADbite provides sufficient working time to allow for full-arch bite records.—Steve Kozlowski
