Light curing eliminates the use of autopolymerizing acrylic resin when performing a chairside pickup of attachment components into a dental prosthesis.

Autopolymerizing resins are known to cause negative patient reactions to chairside attachment pickup procedures-reactions varying from complaint of a bad taste, to burning sensations of the oral tissues. These patient discomforts are directly related to the liquid monomer ingredient necessary for chemical curing of autopolymerizing denture material. Now a special formulation of strong, light activated, acrylic resin allows chairside “curingin” of attachments using a standard intraoral light unit.

With the Zest Chairside Light Cure Acrylic Kit, there is no more mixing and time consuming waits for slow setting, self-curing acrylic resin. Chairside Light Cure Acrylic is packaged in handy, light tight syringes so you control the exact placement of the pickup resin by painting Resin Curing Primer where you want the light cure material to bond. It will bond only where the primer coat is painted, and is easily peeled off in all other areas.
