Best Product: FlashTips
Disposable’s the way to go...a fresh tip for every patient guarantees effective, unobstructed evacuation, and reduces the risk of cross contamination.
Quick and Easy
FlashTips are designed for quick and easy changeover between patients. They require no converter or adapter. Nine of the 14 evaluators gave FlashTips an excellent rating for ease of use, and another 4 said it was very good. An evaluator who has been in practice for 9 years said, “It is very easy to place and remove.” A hygienist evaluator from Richland, WA, with 26 years of experience said, “The little end piece never broke in the syringe on removal.”
Safe and Sound
FlashTips incorporate an inner tube that does not shift under pressure, along with separate air and water chambers to minimize crossover. When evaluators were asked to rate how well FlashTips reduced crossover of air and water, 9 rated it as excellent and 5 as very good. “I felt that the air and water had a nice constant stream,” said an evaluator from Westfield, NJ. “I never thought there could be a difference in syringes.” Another evaluator said that he liked the visibility of water through the syringe. FlashTips feature smooth, rounded edges to prevent harm both to patients and equipment. Additionally, a locking indicator and wide locking groove make certain the tips stay where they are placed, further enhancing safety. They were rated as excellent in terms of safety and smoothness by 10 evaluators. When asked what she liked best about FlashTips, a hygienist evaluator said, “I liked that the syringe is very rigid. It did not flex.” The strength and rigidity enhances FlashTips’ ability to serve as a cheek retractor.
Praise All Around
All 14 evaluators said they would recommend FlashTips to colleagues, with most adding that they would be purchasing FlashTips in the future. “I like [FlashTips] a lot because they always work great,” one evaluator said. FlashTips come in bags of 250 and 1,200, with an assortment of blue, purple, pink, orange, and green tips in each bag.
