Believe it or not, it’s September already. For most people, this means summer vacations are finished, kids are going back to school, and the nights are starting to get cooler. But as vacations and beaches and campfires come to an end…it also means National Dental Infection Control Awareness Month begins!
National Dental Infection Control Awareness Month (NDICAM) is a month-long awareness campaign that takes place every September and is designed to increase focus on dental infection control and safety. This year, in conjunction with NDICAM, The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) is launching a major multi-year collaborative educational program, Safest Dental Visit.
The Safest Dental Visit program promotes an increased commitment to infection control and safety and encourages clinicians to engage with patients on this important topic. Clinicians, educators, speakers and consultants, product manufacturers and distributors, and others interested in patient safety are collaborating to help ensure that every patient visit is the safest dental visit.
Learn how your dental practice can participate in the Safest Dental Visit campaign to help educate and train staff, promote a safe and professional environment, increase patient confidence and loyalty, attract new patients, and enhance the overall image of the practice.
