Adhesives CATEGORY DESCRIPTION

Choosing the most effective adhesive materials is important for ensuring strong and long-term bonding. Adhesives are tooth-colored resins applied directly to the teeth and bonded to a variety of materials using a curing light. The unnoticeable color ensures patient satisfaction with the aesthetic aspect and the ease of use is convenient for dental practitioners. Tooth restoration is an important part of any dental practice, and adhesives are perfect for creating strong bonds between enamel, metal, porcelain, and other commonly used materials. Adhesives can be used to mend individual teeth back together, create fillings, and bond crowns, veneers, and other materials to existing teeth.

One of the most important benefits of using adhesives is the possibility of preserving significantly more of a patient’s real tooth when creating fillings or performing reconstruction.

There are several systems on the market that allow dental practitioners to both prime and bond teeth using only one tool, ensuring speed and efficiency while performing this common procedure. These can be used for direct or indirect restorations and can be used with a variety of etching techniques. The best materials offer low viscosity and thin film thickness, making adhesion easier and necessitating less cleaning after procedures. Often coming in small bottles with equally small applicators, it is easy for practitioners to dispense the adhesive material to a limited area. The most effective adhesives reduce patient sensitivity and pain in the affected area, making patients both comfortable and satisfied with their results.

Overall, the best adhesives are easy to apply, intended for long-term bonding, and strong enough to hold restorative dental materials together. With all of the products currently on the market, there is no shortage of adhesives that will provide all of these necessities for quality bonding.
