Planmeca Viso™ G5
Planmeca Viso™ imaging systems have taken an impressive step forward in the evolution of CBCT imaging. We are now offering two models, our Planmeca Viso G7 and our newest addition the Planmeca Viso G5. These two units both offer exceptional image quality and cutting-edge features for the practitioner who needs to be at the forefront of technology. The Viso G5 offers a large 16x16 flat panel sensor with four integrated cameras for live patient positioning. It can capture the entire jaw area in a single ø20x10cm scan. It offers freely positionable field of views from ø3x3cm – ø20x17cm. This unit offers an occipital head support offering an unimpeded view of facial tissue. The Planmeca Viso G5 offers 2D, 3D and cephalometric imaging with our Planmeca ProCeph™ option. It can also do incredibly advanced imaging modalities such as Planmeca ProFace™ and Planmeca 4D™ Jaw Motion. As with all Planmeca CBCT units, it comes with our most advanced 3D technology including Planmeca CALM™, which corrects patient movement during CBCT acquisition, and Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ that provides an average reduction in dose of 77% with no statistical reduction in image quality*.

Dosimetry of Orthodontic Diagnostic FOVs Using Low Dose CBCT Protocol
The purpose of this study was to evaluate doses resulting from various combinations of field size and exposure parameters using child and adult phantoms on a Promax 3D Mid CBCT unit. A second aim was to acquire contrast/noise ratio (CNR) data and modulation transfer function (MTF) data to examine the relationship of these measures of image quality to examination dose....Read More
