The light on these loupes needs to be redirected many times, but that is good because it is easy to move it to different areas. However, I wish the light could be tightened down to resist movement a little more. The light goes out at times, I haven't figured out why. I suspect it may be the batteries needing to be replaced(the rechargable batteries are now a year old), or it could be the light over heating and shutting down for a few hours. The O rings go bad at the battery connection, but they sent me some more at no charge(still within the 1 yr warranty). About the light shutting down, they asked me to send them to check out the reason, but I can't part with them. I am hooked. They are portable, comfortable, and I am not tied down to a wire connected to my belt. I have never owned a light before this pair. My previous loupes were Orascoptic, same mag., so I may purchase a portable light for them and send in this pair for any tune up that may be needed. Despite my problems, and the cost, I would buy them again. Tod Fawcett ,04/16/2014 Comment Was this review helpful?
