UltraSeal XT plus Pit and Fissure Sealant

Ultradent’s UltraSeal XT plus has been providing dentists with a BPA-free solution for cavity prevention since 1998.

For 13 years, UltraSeal XT plus has offered clinicians the ability to provide their patients with safe and reliable cavity protection. A 58% filled resin, UltraSeal XT plus features low polymerization shrinkage, superior strength, and wear resistance, and a 100% retention rate when tested over 6 months.1

UltraSeal XT plus features the ideal viscosity; it flows easily into the smallest pits and fissures, yet it doesn’t run after placement. The unique Inspiral Brush Tip allows precise, efficient placement of the material, because its internal helical channel and ridge thin the resin to a flowable consistency. Fluoride releasing and radiopaque, UltraSeal XT plus is available in 4 shades and is BPA-free.

Commonly abbreviated as BPA, Bisphenol A is an ingredient of the plastic-manufacturing process most commonly found in water bottles, household electronics, and other consumer products. However, many medical and dental products (namely sealants) contain this chemical. According to the FDA, BPA can disrupt the body’s endocrine system, imitating its own hormones, which leads to negative health effects. The effects can be greater during early development, which is to say BPA is even more harmful to young children (who are the prime candidates for sealant products like UltraSeal XT plus).

That’s why UltraSeal XT plus is—and always has been—free of BPA, with Ultradent even

going so far as to have a 3rd party laboratory test the product and confirm 0.00000% presence of BPA or its derivatives. In fact, none of Ultradent’s resin products contain BPA.

Ultradent offers a website dedicated to BPA education. The website, www.ultrasealxt.com, is the host for frequently asked questions about BPA and features podcasts, a children’s development corner and information about UltraSeal XT plus.
