I also love that I can be a lifelong student in my field. The journey of learning never ends, and it?s astounding to constantly see the changes in our profession as we move into the digital world. To have the opportunity to constantly evolve and never be complacent with our knowledge is powerful.
I volunteer at two local clinics in my community that serve the underprivileged. The most rewarding experience I had was treating a victim of domestic violence. I acquired the case as a volunteer with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry?s Give Back a Smile program, and we were able to give her full mouth rehabilitation.
I became a DPS evaluator because I value the opinions of my peers. My greatest moments of learning came from dentists, mentors and educators that offer real life pearls that we can come back and implement in our practice.
