Product Spotlight: Estelite Sigma Quick

Estelite Sigma Quick   The universal resin composite’s unique formula and flexible shade-matching ability make it a stand-out among restorative materials.   A renowned artist once observed that “no one is immune to human contact, and art is not made in a vacuum.” The same can be said of the art of dentistry, because a product is only as effective as its trial with human contact—the clinician-to-patient experience. After nearly a decade on the market, Tokuyama’s Estelite Sigma Quick, a universal resin composite, continues to be a go-to, award-winning...

One of several great products
Estelite has been shown to have good strength, durability etc and is a good overall composite. Very good esthetics for anterior composites, but can also be used for posterior composites. It is a little sticky and difficult to pack into box preps, so a flowable that will conform to box preps is a good adjunct.

Best of All Worlds...
There is nothing that hasn't impressed me about Tokuyama's Estelite Quick composite. I first used it several years ago as a free sample and I have been hooked ever since. The material is not sticky and is easy to place. It condenses well in to deeper cavity preparations and is easy to contour for an anterior facials with a plastic instrument. The material blends well with the surrounding tooth structure so if the shade match is not exact it is hardly noticeable. It is also less expensive than most competitive product which is an added plus. I would highly recommend this material to a colleague!

Estelite Sigma Quick
Estelite Sigma Quick is a very good dental composite for anterior and posterior composites. The material handles very well, not sticking to my dental instruments upon packing into the dental prep. The esthetics are great at initial placement and at recalls. Shades provided give that "chameleon effect" that Tokuyama advertises, and I am impressed how well it does blend with the natural tooth color. My one problem with the material is that it is not as radioopaque on the radiographs as I would prefer. Otherwise, it is an excellent product.

Great composite
Superior handling. Non sticky or slumping. Low shrinkage goid chameleon effect

Consistently Predictable
I use this composite for both anterior and posterior restorations. It polishes nicely and has a chameleon character...in that it takes on the shade of the surrounding tooth structure. If you prepare the margins correctly you will not be able to see where the composite ends and the tooth begins. Positives: Doesn’t slump, non-sticky, adapts well to prep, durable, dispensing from syringe minimizes waste, 10 sec curing, extended working time, minimal shrinkage, easily seen on radiograph image, great customer service from company. Negatives: Costly. Although it comes in many shades, I wish it came in a few more.

My favorite composite
This composite is a little harder to work with than some other composites I use or have used, but the end result is superior. It blends so well and polishes even better. I researched a lot of composites and this one has so many good properties. I love the radiopacity as well. Highly recommend

Quality for money
I was using this composit since it appeared on the market. Easy to work due to very good physical properties such as : consistency, not sticky to instruments. Unsurpassed color match due to chameleon effect, so you don't need too many colors. I personally use A2, OA2 and Incisal in most cases. Fast curing, tolerance to ambient light is a big plus. Price is very attractive, also this company has a lot of promotions, so you can save money.

TOKUYAMA ESTELITE composite resin
This light cured composite resin has best natural translucency to make a perfect esthetic shade match especially on anterior restorations( this is the stellar feature when it comes to matching shade to perfection). Good working consistency and easy to modulate shape and contour with plastic instruments during placement. High polished finished surface using finishing stones. Overall a great composite to use with above average wear resistance over time. Would definitely recommend.

Quick and easy to use...
I just reviewed its website and it says good opacity, which I don't agree with, especially for its claimed porcelain repair. May bond to porcelain, but a lot needs to be used in order to get some sort of opacity. The chameleon effect is definitely true. Polishes well, good for anterior and posterior teeth, for bonding (diastemas) or fillings (ClV's). Good for the "sandwich technique" for interproximal restorations. Will buy again!

excellent except shades
A great posterior composite with terrific ambiant light characteristics. It does not set too fast and has a smooth nice consistency. Only issue: Colors are greyer than Vita shades...fine for posteriors but an issue with anteriors
