The Midwest Stylus ATC, recently introduced by DENTSPLY Professional, is the first handpiece to combine the power of air and electricity in one instrument. By bringing together these sources of power, the ATC can deliver the strength and efficiency of electric handpieces without sacrificing the access, light weight, and comfort of air handpieces.

The cutting-edge sensor technology behind the Stylus ATC can monitor bur speed and adjust performance so that peak power and speed are never compromised. Because the performance of the Stylus ATC can be automatically adjusted while it’s in use, the instrument complements the user’s technique and allows for an easy transition from gross reduction to margin refinement in less than a second. The rigid bur suspension system of the Stylus ATC provides improved tactile control and accuracy, and the integrated fiber-optic supply creates bright illumination for better visibility. In addition, the handpiece’s air turbine eliminates overheating and the high-pitched noise often found with electric handpieces. The Stylus ATC is backed by a comprehensive 3-year warranty on the control unit and integrated coupler and tubing, a 2-year warranty on the handpieces (including turbines), and a 5-year warranty on fiber optics.
