Dentsply Sirona announced recently that the Schick 33 intraoral sensors are now fully integrated with SIDEXIS 4 (Denstply Sirona’s imaging software), creating a seamless intraoral workflow on a platform that is an all-encompassing “imaging hub.”

All of your patients’ diagnostic digital images can now be compiled in one single software—you no longer have to work between different imaging software systems simultaneously, going back and forth between two or three running at once.

A “Lightbox” feature lets you bring up digital intraoral, pan, ceph, CBCT, and intraoral photographs, on the same screen to view at the same time. This is ideal for diagnosis, treatment planning, simulation, and assessing progress—as well as patient communication. With the “Compare” feature, 2D or 3D images can be displayed side by side to track changes in dental anatomy. Having these features integrated along with Schick 33 into an intuitive process eliminates switching between programs and screens—even 3D volumes obtained from a referring dentist or specialist can be integrated seamlessly! (No more storing CDs in some random cabinet in your office!) You can easily upload by dragging and dropping these images right into the software and they become part of your patient’s record. You can also create and customize your own templates within the software for a convenient intraoral workflow for your staff.

Schick’s intraoral imaging solutions allow for capture of the highest standard of instant diagnostic digital images in any practice, on any patient, every day. The Schick 33 sensor comes in multiple sizes and is the only sensor with an in-field replaceable cable, ensuring the confidence and flexibility you want for your practice.

SIDEXIS 4 allows you to customize your images with five image enhancements and a dynamic imaging slider bar you can set as defaults.

Patient records can be configured individually within SIDEXIS 4. Measurement and annotation tools can be used for endodontic treatment improving workflow. And the software platform is open and compatible with all major image formats. This dynamic information hub will form the backbone of your practice, helping you treatment plan and communicate with patients and colleagues with confidence.
