iTero: Doctors' Favorites
Brandon Tiek, DDS, is continually updating his training and his practice in Carmel, IN, to provide his patients with the latest techniques and technologies. When it comes to return on investment, the most beneficial products in my practice have been the iTero Element 5D Plus imaging
system from Align Technology, Modento and OperaDDS dental practice software, and the DryShield isolation system.
Obviously, the iTero Element 5D Plus adds such amazing functionality throughout the day, including its near-infrared technology (NIRI) to aid in caries detection above the gingiva, and it saves us so much time as opposed to doing conventional impressions. Because the impressions are sent digitally to the lab, my restorative work comes back to me in half the time.
Modento is a comprehensive patient engagement platform and OperaDDS is an easy, touch-free solution for paperless forms, streamlined staff messaging, and secure emails and texts. Both give me the ability to be completely paperless, which saves so much time, and my patients love having everything digital! Treatment plans, consent forms, and even payment requests are all sent straight to their phones. We also can stay connected intra-office with streamlined staff messaging, so we don’t miss anything during the day.
DryShield—which serves as a high-suction evacuator, saliva ejector, bite block, tongue shield, and oral pathway protector all in one—is an amazing device because it allows me to do dentistry without an assistant, if needed. It also provides greater comfort for the patient, which helps me to complete restorative work much more efficiently!
