Attend the Chicago Dental Society’s 157th Midwinter Meeting In Person!

The Chicago Dental Society’s (CDS) 157th Midwinter Meeting, “A Dental Tradition,” returns to an in-person format this year and, as usual, will be held at McCormick Place West in Chicago from Feb. 24–26, 2022. Registration is open at cds.org/register.

“The Midwinter Meeting has a rich tradition of debuting the latest scientific information and cutting-edge products to dental professionals for more than 156 years,” said CDS President-Elect Dr. Thomas Schneider. “After more than a year of virtual meetings, events, and social gatherings, we’re very excited to return to the traditional in-person format. We deeply missed the camaraderie and reconnection with old friends and colleagues, and can’t wait to be back in person at McCormick Place.”

Top Educators & Speakers

The Midwinter Meeting has a reputation for attracting the premiere speakers in dentistry from across the country. This year, attendees will have access to more than 250 CE-accredited courses taught by more than 150 renowned clinicians and key opinion leaders in dental education. Dentists and their teams can expect to learn about the latest practice management solutions and evidence-based clinical updates on techniques, procedures, and products so they can continue to provide their patients with the best care possible.

Speakers this year range from Karen Baker, RPh, MS, speaking on “Drug Reactions & Interactions”; to Dr. Gordon Christensen focusing on “The Best Crowns for 2022” and “Rescuing Teeth in 2022”; to Juan Yepes, DDS, MD, on the “ABCs of Benign and Malignant Radiographic Lesions of Jaws.” Click here for more information on speakers and course offerings.

So far, more than 440 vendors have registered for the 2022 Midwinter Meeting, including many first-time exhibitors. The 270,000-square-foot exhibit floor will feature the latest products and dental innovations for dentists and their teams to test and purchase. Many special events are scheduled to provide fun networking experiences, including the new Brews & Bargains happy hour happening Friday, Feb. 25 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. where vendors will be offering specials only available for those two hours. Also returning to the meeting are the new dentist and dental student receptions.

“CDS dentists are essential healthcare workers, and as such, we’re on the frontlines battling infection daily, long before the COVID-19 pandemic and long after,” said Dr. Schneider. “Much like our commitment to our patients, the health and safety of attendees, vendors, and staff is our top priority.”

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 Midwinter Meeting will feature enhanced health and safety measures. CDS is working closely with McCormick Place and will follow all federal, state, and local health and safety requirements in effect in February. Note that masks are required regardless of vaccination status. CDS also strongly encourages all attendees to be fully vaccinated before attending the Midwinter Meeting and will require attendees to sign a COVID-19 liability release waiver.
