Evaluator Feedback:Eight evaluators rated handling/viscosity as excellent, and 3 rated it as very good. The delivery system (automix syringe) was rated as excellent by 9 evaluators and as very good or good by the remaining 2. “Extremely easy self-etching cement. Perfect for situations like post cementation,” said an evaluator who rated all features as excellent. This same dentist said he would definitely purchase the cement and recommend it to colleagues, and added that, “the radiopacity is excellent for a self-etch cement.” “Very easy to use, no need for hand mixing, dual cure, no need for refrigeration,” is how one evaluator responded when she was asked what she liked most about Maxcem Elite. When asked the same question, a dentist who gave the material an overall rating of excellent said, “the ease of dispensing the product, giving a consistent bonding.” Another evaluator noted that, “handling with the syringe was easy and predictable…perfect viscosity.”
Setting/Curing Time

Evaluator Feedback:“The tack and cure made a big difference compared to other cements in this class,” said a Connecticut dentist in practice for 29 years. Another evaluator, who described the cement as much better than similar products, noted that, “due to its short curing time and One-Peel cleanup, cementing crowns with Maxcem Elite is a very efficient use of time.” Setting/curing time and tack cure capability were rated as excellent, very good, or good by all 11 evaluators, with most (7) rating these features as excellent. When asked about potential improvements, one evaluator said, “it seems to set up quicker than the time stated.”
One-Peel Cleanup

Evaluator Feedback:With comments such as, “the One-Peel cleanup is extremely easy,” and, “cleanup was easy and fast,” 8 evaluators rated this feature as excellent, and the remaining 3 rated it as very good or good. “Maxcem Elite’s one-peel cleanup is easier than any other resin cement I have used,” noted an evaluator in practice for 36 years, who gave the cement an overall rating of excellent. Eighty-two percent of the evaluators identified Maxcem Elite’s One-Peel cleanup as one of the features they liked most.
Bond Strength

Evaluator Feedback:All 10 of the evaluators who rated bond strength rated this feature as excellent or very good, including several who cited this as one of the features they liked most. “This cement appears to be very strong,” said a dentist in practice for 23 years.
Overall Satisfaction
“Great overall cement for any occasion,” said one of the 9 dentists who described Maxcem Elite as much or somewhat better than similar products. The same evaluator went on to say, “definitely a go-to cement in my operatory.” All 11 evaluators rated their overall satisfaction with the material as excellent or very good and said they would definitely or probably recommend it to their colleagues. Nine dentists said they would definitely or probably purchase the cement. When asked what he’d like to see improved, a dentist who gave the cement an overall rating of excellent responded with, “nothing I have seen with this product needs to be changed. It appears to be a product that dentists need to try.”
