Manufacturer Description: Burbank describes Zir-MAX as 20% to 50% more translucent than other full zirconia and all-ceramic restorations.
Evaluator Feedback: A clinician with 22 years of experience said, ?Beautiful esthetics?contour and shade match were excellent.? An evaluator with 8 years of experience said, ?It?s much better than other all-zirconia crowns in shade and color match.? When asked if they would recommend Zir-MAX Crowns to colleagues or contacts within the dental profession, both of these evaluators answered ?definitely.?
Adjustment Time
Manufacturer Description: According to Burbank, 1 advantage that Zir-MAX provides is the consistency that their CAD/CAM department can deliver. This is beneficial to clinicians as they are able to preset individual preferences for occlusal and proximal contacts, which results in less adjustment time at the seating appointment.
Evaluator Feedback: ?Everything was excellent: did not need any adjustment,? said a clinician from Hempstead, NY, while an evaluator from Manchester, NH, said, ?This case was an onlay and the fit was just fine right from the start.? Adjustment time was rated as excellent or very good by 8 evaluators.
When asked what he would like to see improved about Zir-MAX crowns, an evaluator from Glendale, CA, said, ?It took a long time to adjust the crown to occlude properly.? This evaluator went on to rate Zir-MAX Crown?s ease of adjustment as ?good.?

Manufacturer Description: According to the manufacturer, Zir-MAX can be designed to mimic the contralateral tooth, as well as deliver specific design preferences such as emergence profile and style of overall morphology. These parameters can be set universally or be individually changed for each case prescription as specified.
