An easy-to-handle universal composite with exceptional esthetics for long-lasting anterior and posterior restorations 

Most dentists have a trustworthy stash of go-to products and materials that provide predictable restorative results to their patients. And, with a proven history of favorable results, it’s understandable that dentists may be reluctant to replace those familiar products with newcomers that promise easier use and better outcomes. But dental materials are evolving at a record pace, and dentists might want to jump on the new composite bandwagon before they get left behind.

I’m not someone who absolutely needs a ‘name brand’ product, as long as it does what I need it to do,” shared Dr. Lee, who encourages dentists to get out of their comfort zone and try a new composite. “If they had a chance to use Natural Elegance Premium Universal, they may change their minds [about choosing to stick with their old composite],” she added.

Handling & Viscosity

The consistency and nonsticky handling properties help make Natural Elegance Premium Universal easy and efficient to use, and its mechanical properties improve polymerization, according to Henry Schein. Dr. Raymond Lee called it an “excellent composite” with a creamy consistency that “easily flows into the cavity prep,” and Dr. Aliisha Choucair said it’s “easy to handle” with a curing time that “gives you plenty of time to shape.” For Dr. Aaron Goodman, the handling characteristics “made placing fillings a bit easier,” and Dr. Jodi Lampert said it did not stick to instruments and she “really liked working with the product.” Calling it “a little sticky,” Dr. Pamela Brennan Clarke said it was “overall easy to use and sculpt with no sagging,” while Dr. Thomas Gilbert felt the “viscosity was too fluid” and “needs to be firmed up a little for ease of placement.” Noting that it “adapts well to the preparation” Dr. Varo Boyer commented, “Its easy adaptability and handling allows me to work faster, more efficiently, and without voids in the final restoration.”

Esthetics

Available in syringes in 8 shades and capsules in 11 shades, Natural Elegance Premium Universal is easy to polish and produces a long-lasting high shine with no significant color change before and after light curing, according to Henry Schein. A unique combination of photo initiators provides total shade predictability and a long-lasting, smooth surface, while a Spheroidal Zircon Silicate filler gives the composite brightness and wear resistance.

“After polishing and hydration, the restoration comes to life like a natural tooth,” described Dr. Boyer. He used the resin for an emergency patient with a chipped anterior tooth and said he was able to restore the tooth quickly and efficiently. The patient was “amazed that she couldn’t tell it isn’t her natural tooth,” he added. Dr. Brennan Clarke said it polished well and “the color match was excellent and seemed to blend well.” Dr. Raymond Lee “loved the translucency, which is perfect to blend in the tooth,” and Dr. Jack Ringer was impressed by the optics, finishing, and handling properties. “It blends beautifully with the tooth after polishing,” shared Dr. Boyer, who added, “The esthetics are great; no more white lines or shade changes at the margin after curing.”

Versatility

“This composite is a jack of all trades!” shared Dr. Cary Goldstein. “It performs well in every category.
