As part of the Young Dental Elite Series of prophy angles and cups, the Contra Elite Original is recommended for all patients. It is available in packages of 200 or 1200.
Eleven hygienists participated in this evaluation, rating several features, including external ridges for interproximal cleaning, minimized splatter, efficiency of cleaning and polishing, and visibility inside the oral cavity.
External Ridges

She also said she would definitely recommend the Contra Elite Original prophy angle and would purchase it in the future. Another evaluator said, ?Splatter was almost nonexistent.?
Efficiency of Cleaning and Polishing

In addition, dental professionals can use the outside of the cup to access lingual and buccal regions.
Evaluator Feedback: ?The slight bend in the angle helped with reaching tough areas, especially upper lingual anteriors,? noted an evaluator who gave the Contra Elite Original an overall satisfaction rating of excellent. She also said she would definitely recommend the angle to colleagues and purchase it in the future.

In addition, 7 evaluators gave the product an overall satisfaction rating of excellent or very good. When asked what they would like to see improved, some evaluators commented on the length of the angle, saying they would like it to be ?a little shorter.?
