Inspire Nitrile Exam Gloves
Cranberry's Inspire Nitrile Exam Gloves combine unsurpassed comfort with optimal dexterity, control, and durability
How many times each day do dental professionals don and remove gloves? Taking into account the times when gloves need to be changed because they tear, don’t fit properly, or are just plain uncomfortable, the number may be too high.
To save time and improve comfort and performance, Cranberry has developed the Inspire Nitrile Exam Gloves, described as the company’s “fittest and lightest gloves yet,” and ranging in size from extra-small to extra-large. The exclusive InSoft formulation provides unsurpassed comfort and enhances performance by minimizing hand fatigue and providing superior grip regardless of the conditions. Enhanced fingertip texture allows for superior handling and increased control, and the Aegean blue color minimizes visible stains.
“The Inspire nitrile gloves were easy to don, gave excellent tactile sensitivity and finger dexterity, never tore, and the fit was perfect,” said Michael Slomnicki, DMD, one of the clinicians who participated in this DPS evaluation. “I felt like I was wearing armor that wasn’t heavy and allowed my fingers to use a delicate touch during treatment,” he explained. Hygienist Jeanette Crofts was pleased with the fit and comfort of the gloves, and expressed, “I can’t believe I finally found a glove that actually fits my fingers without cramping my hands.” Because of the glove’s superior comfort, grip, fit, durability, and tactile sensitivity, this group of practitioners awarded the Inspire Nitrile Exam Gloves a DPS Best Product rating.

Comfort and Fit
In search of “a nonlatex glove that fits and performs as well as latex,” Dr. Joseph Hwang said the new Inspire gloves are “one of the best-fitting and most comfortable nonlatex gloves I have tried.” He described them as “quite easy to don, even after hand washing.” Katherine Moreno, RDH, said she looked forward to wearing these gloves and commented, “They were very soft and comfortable, and I knew they wouldn’t dry out my hands or feel binding like some non-latex gloves.” Hygienist Misty Mesimer said the gloves were lightweight and did not cause hand fatigue, and Dr. Raihan Nazir pointed out that “a better fit ensures the hand doesn’t get tired from blood flow constriction.”
Commenting that the finger length was good and the glove was not too tight in the hand, Jody Ebert, RDH, and a few other evaluators suggested more consistent sizing. Discovering that a great fitting glove made it easier for her to do her job and not waste time pulling the fingers down, Crofts exclaimed, “They fit perfectly!”
Tactile Sensitivity and Finger Dexterity
“This is a well-designed product with a nicely designed grip on the fingertips and a very thin yet strong material,” said Dr. Nazir. Explaining that “better grip translates to improved function,” he added, “This glove is by far the best for tactile sensitivity and durability.” Nichole Oates, RDH, agreed that tactile sensitivity was great, and Mesimer said she would recommend the gloves to others because of their comfort and tactility. “The gloves felt extremely strong and durable but not clunky, said Dr. Slomnicki, “and I was still able to have fine finger dexterity and tactility.” Dr. Raul Escalante noted, “Tactile sensitivity is very important to me, and with these gloves I felt it was very good.”
Durability and Tear Resistance
Safety is of the utmost importance, and no one wants to think about a glove puncturing during a procedure, said Dr. Escalante. “I want to be sure I’m safe when practicing dentistry,” he explained. “The Inspire gloves never tore and thickness was very good. They were very comfortable to wear, and I felt safe using them.” Dr. Slomnicki and his assistants all agreed that the Inspire gloves are strong, durable, and comfortable. “I didn’t have to change gloves during procedures because they’re much more durable and stronger,” he said. Dr. Sam Chui described the gloves as “tough and durable and maintained manual dexterity,” and Mesimer said, “I never had a perforation or tear.”
Overall Satisfaction
In addition to comfort, dexterity, and durability, several evaluators commented on Inspire’s packaging - the space-saving 300-count Saver Pack. “It’s easy to remove the gloves with the opening in the box,” shared Ebert, and Dr. Nazir told DPS that the allotment of 300 per box “is a winner.” Moreno suggested adding a flavor to the gloves, and a couple hygienists would like to see other colors offered.
Nearly all the evaluators said they would recommend Inspire gloves to their colleagues, including Dr. Hwang, who called them “probably the best nitrile gloves I’ve tried,” and said they “rival most latex gloves.” Describing it as “a very well designed, thought-out glove that will be my go-to from now on,” Dr. Nazir summed up his evaluation experience by saying, “[Inspire is] an absolute winner; should be the gold standard.” Dr. Slomnicki agreed and said, “If a dentist wants gloves that will fit well, won’t tear, are comfortable, and still have great finger dexterity, then this is the glove for them.”
