Jiffy One Single-Use Polishers

These universal single-use polishers effectively and efficiently polish any composite material in just 1 or 2 steps

Ah, those fastidious patients. They can sometimes be the bane of a dentist’s existence but are also that welcome bit of motivation to always strive for perfection. And while Dr. Salomon Maya gives his absolute best to all his patients, demanding or not, he says, “polishing an anterior resin restoration on a picky patient is always stressful.” It’s no wonder, then, that he was glad to evaluate a product that not only reduced his stress but also made an especially finicky patient uncharacteristically happy—and even grateful.

Ultradent’s Jiffy One Single-Use Polishers worked so well that Dr. Maya’s patient sent a thank-you card expressing how pleased she was with the appearance of her restoration. Exceptionally well made and durable but still designed for single use, Jiffy One polishers eliminate cross-contamination concerns. The polishers come in medium and fi ne grits in cups, discs, and points to meet the needs of any restorative dentist.

Hoping to reduce his inventory of polishing systems, Dr. Sam Hamam tried Jiffy One and was happy that “1 product replaced 4” and said that he “liked the convenience of using a single product to achieve a great result.” Dr. Russ Jensen enjoyed “having a brand-new polisher each time” and said that he received “a predictable, efficient polish while eliminating any potential for cross-contamination.”

Finishing & Polishing

Jiffy One’s specially formulated diamond grit delivers a beautiful, natural shine in just 1 or 2 steps, with clinicians using the medium grit for a 1-step polish and adding the fi ne grit for additional luster, if needed. “Jiffy One provides a systemized approach that results in a predictable, efficient finish,” reported Dr. Jensen, and Dr. James Cavanaugh said it allowed “easy and effective finishing and polishing.” Calling the product “perfect,” Dr. Joseph said, “It created a nice smooth polished surface.” Using the polishers after removing orthodontic brackets, Dr. Sage White said, “They gave the tooth surface and composite a really nice shine,” and Dr. Mihaela Popa reported “great results” after polishing composite on tooth No. 8.

Dr. Willden called Jiffy One a “great product” that enabled “much better resurfacing,” Dr. Hamam reported “very good polishing results in all cases,” and Dr. Oberschlake said he “liked it better than some other single-use polishers.” Commenting that “these Jiffy One polishers are fantastic at polishing restorations,” Dr. Schwendiman declared, “I love the ease of polish. They work, and work very well.”

Polishing Efficiency

Designed for simplicity while saving time, Jiffy One reduces the polishing and finishing process to only 1 or 2 steps. “Anything that helps save time is valuable, and [these polishers] are fast and efficient,” shared Dr. Schwendiman. Describing Jiffy One as a “very easy and efficient system,” Dr. Cavanaugh said it “creates a clinically sound polish in fewer steps,” which “simplified composite restoration appointments.” Dr. White liked how quickly and easily he could achieve the final polish, and Dr. Popa was also pleased with “how fast they work” and said, “Using these polishers improved my chairside time with patients.” Dr. Willden agreed that the polishers smoothed composite in less time, and Dr. Sandip Ladani said it was easy to polish large composite restorations. Reporting that “efficiency is paramount,” Dr. Hamam decided, “This product allows me to achieve that.”
