‘Cleaner, Faster, Smarter’

Dentsply Sirona recently released a software update for its SureSmile clear aligners that’s designed to enhance patient communication and enable more efficient workflows. From a more intuitive task list to easier photo management, v7.6.26 comes with a variety of new features that streamline clear aligner treatment for all.

“Everything is right at your fingertips,” said SureSmile provider Dr. Leana Lundt, who described the updated software as “cleaner, faster, smarter.”

A Straight Line to Success

SureSmile clear aligners are custom-made for each patient and feature a straight trimline, reducing the number of attachments needed. The SureSmile treatment planning software is a key part of this successful system, with updates giving dentists easier access to all the data they need to communicate with both patients and the SureSmile Digital Lab.

Many of the software updates are designed to save clinicians time so they can focus on their patients and provide exceptional care.

First up: improved tabs for patient history and digital lab communication. Clinicians can quickly get an overview of a patient’s history and easily locate any information they need about a case, including if models have been rejected, if setups have been approved, and what’s ready for review. Lab communication also is improved, giving clinicians immediate access to product notes and information about where cases stand.

An intuitive task list helps doctors more efficiently manage clear aligner patients. This modernized list quickly shows dentists where their patients are in the clear aligner process and if action is required on their end to move treatment along—helping them stay organized throughout treatment. A single-button search filter allows for easier navigation of the patient database, so users can find what they need faster.

Easy Photo Management

Clinicians and team members can now quickly—and securely—upload photos from a mobile device; all it takes is scanning a QR code. That's one of the new features Dr. Joe Chichetti and his team appreciate most.
