Flowable composite resins have a multitude of uses in general restorative dentistry. Their low viscosity and ability to be placed in very small and precise increments makes them the ideal restorative material in many instances. This CE webinar will provide clinicians with the knowledge and skills to comfortably and predictably use flowable composites in many treatment modalities. Subjects discussed will include sealants, Class I, II and V direct resin restorations, indirect restoration block-out, provisionalization, mockups, occlusion and repairs/renewals.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will:
1. Discover a variety of uses for low viscosity resins.
2. Learn a predictable method to accurately place the first increment in a direct resin restoration.
3. Discover techniques to block out darkly stained dentin to prevent grey show through.
4. Follow a quick and accurate technique to mockup anterior restorations.
5. Understand how flowable resins can be used for different types of restorations in the same quadrant for efficiency.

CLEARFIL MAJESTY ES Flow
Clearfil Majesty ES Flow by Kuraray America, Inc. is a light-cure, universal, flowable composite that can be used for several restorative applications including direct restorations for all cavity classes, cervical lesions, tooth wear, and tooth erosion, correction of tooth position and shape, intraoral repair of fractured restorations, and can also be used as a cavity base/liner. It is developed by using special submicron fillers that allow for easy polishing. With a simple 10-20 second, 1-step polishing technique a higher level of polishability can be reached and a smooth surface is produced. The benefit of having a smooth surface is that it leads to a reduction of plaque accumulation. The filler particles of this product are designed to produce excellent polish retention, which is a key feature required for composite restorations.
