A Smart Sensor Designed for Any Digital Workflow

KaVo IXS intraoral sensors provide greater resistance to damage and are built with smart technologies for a stress-free workflow and improved imaging experience*

Crystal-clear images—that’s what every dental professional hopes to achieve when capturing radiographs. Yet there are other factors to consider when evaluating a new intraoral sensor, among them durability, patient comfort, and the ability to easily integrate into an existing digital workflow.

An improved version of the Gendex GXS-700, the KaVo IXS intraoral sensor features more robust engineering and automated technology to check clinicians’ many boxes when it comes to sensor quality and workflow integration. Although this improved, high-tech sensor is a recent addition to the KaVo Imaging portfolio, it is already gaining popularity in the dental community.

“After being part of the beta testing for the KaVo IXS sensor, I decided that we should add this to our imaging options,” explained Dr. Justin Stevens of Gallatin Valley Pediatric Dentistry. “It was incorporated seamlessly into our practice.”

Smart, Robust, & Automated

The internal components of the KaVo IXS sensor are layered and engineered for ultimate protection. The sensor housing features a thermoplastic resin material, while a unique dome surface design protects the internal components of the sensor—making it 3 times more resistant to damage or functional failure than its predecessor.* Automated software updates and built-in IoT capabilities proactively maintain the health of the sensor system and ensure the device is always ready to perform. Also, by removing noise and improving contrast, KaVo IXS helps clinicians see more details while capturing images at an expanded dynamic range, which translates into safer, lower doses of radiation.

“We are able to take radiographs more often on our younger patients without worry,” noted Dr. Stevens, who said that his favorite features are sensor size and patient comfort. “Since day one, we have had no issues with the KaVo IXS.”
