This course will focus on Local Anesthesia as a refresher and update regarding armamentarium utilized for successful administration of local anesthesia.
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Familiarize themselves with each part of the armamentarium of local anesthesia
- Recognize the need to keep the needle safe at all times
- Determine dosages in mgs for documentation
- Recognize what a bevel is and how it impacts the injection
- Describe parts of the syringe, cartridge and needle
- Discuss and review injection sites for successful anesthesia administration
