By focusing on 3 key areas, VOCO created a tried-and-true resin cement

Stability, versatility, and ease of use are 3 characteristics that will ensure a long and successful life for any dental material. So, it’s no wonder that Bifix SE from VOCO is still being used in dental practices around the world after more than a decade on the market.

Built for Stability

Bifix SE was developed by combining VOCO’s superior self-bond nanotechnology of Futurabond DC and the proven cement engineering of Bifix QM. This combination allows for an engineered catalyst that’s more stable than other cementation systems on the market, and it does not even need to be refrigerated. The end results include high bond strengths, low water solubility, easy removal, and a simple technique.

Versatility = Savings

A versatile cement that can be used for multiple indications and with a variety of materials saves time, inventory space, and money. Bifix SE can be used to cement crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and endodontic posts made from ceramic, zirconium, and metal. A dentist who participated in the Dental Product Shopper evaluation of Bifix SE described it as a “solid self-etch adhesive resin cement that I would recommend to dentists for cast restorations, PFM crowns, and zirconia restorations.”

Keeping It Easy

Complicated techniques and long setting times can doom even the most technologically advanced dental products. VOCO understands that, as can be seen in their development of Bifix SE.

“Bifix SE is what I call a squirt-and-go cement,” said Dr. Ron Kaminer, who has 2 practices on Long Island, NY. “You squirt it out of the syringe, and it will bond to most substrates. And because it forms a gel state, it’s easy to clean up in just a few minutes. With a curing light, it cleans up in a few seconds.”

Four simple steps are all it takes to cement with Bifix SE: Apply the cement, seat the restoration, remove the excess, and self-cure or light-cure. What you don’t have to do is hand mix, triturate, or refrigerate. And, as Dr. Kaminer mentioned, the gel phase makes cleanup easy.

The Hat Trick

By ensuring that Bifix SE provides stability, versatility, and ease of use, VOCO developed a product that meets the needs of virtually all dental cementation situations, and ultimately provides dental professionals and their patients with the outcome they’re seeking.
