Bisco: FluoroCal

Over the past 4 decades, dentists have relied on BISCO to develop restorative materials that solve clinical problems, create strong and esthetic outcomes, and make their lives easier. The manufacturer has no plans to slow down in this arena. In fact, BISCO has taken the same research and chemistry that dentists have put their trust in all these years and applied it to an entirely new product offering: FluoroCal. A unique 5% sodium fluoride varnish that releases both fluoride and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) to boost protection and promote acid resistance,FluoroCal penetrates and seals dentin tubules to provide immediate relief to sensitive teeth. The white varnish blends easily with natural tooth color and offers a pleasant spearmint flavor sweetened with xylitol for improved taste and patient compliance. Xylitol also has been found to boost patients' dental health by reducing harmful bacteria and plaque.3

5 KEY BENEFITS OF FLUOROCAL

  • - Immediate Sensitivity Relief: Penetrates and seals dentin tubules, providing immediate relief for sensitive teeth
  • - Fluoride and Calcium Release Over 24 Hours: Delivers targeted and sustained release of fluoride and calcium over 24 hours1
  • - Esthetic Qualities: - White varnish blends with natural tooth color
  • - Spearmint Flavor: - Spearmint flavor that’s sweetened with xylitol for a better taste that ensures patient compliance
  • - Fast & Easy Application: Applied with a brush

Higher Fluoride Uptake

Chemically depositing fluoride onto tooth structure induces fluorapatite, which strengthens tooth enamel and prevents further sensitivity. When tested, FluoroCal demonstrated a statistically higher enamel fluoride uptake compared with other leading varnishes.4 Additionally, its release of calcium and fluoride is targeted and sustained over a 24-hour period.1
