Brasseler USA: Pioneering Products Through Partnerships
A trusted partner of dental professionals for over 40 years, Brasseler has made the direct sale of high-quality, innovative, clinician-endorsed dental products its hallmark
When founder Peter Brasseler established Brasseler USA in 1976, he did so with a vision that drives the company to this day. Brasseler believed the best way to provide clinicians with the solutions and services they need was through exclusive direct sale of high-quality products. In designing these products alongside key opinion leaders who use them in daily practice, Brasseler USA is able to deliver a full range of solutions that truly elevate dentistry.
By adhering to its collaborative product development strategy and direct-sales–only business model, Brasseler USA has, in its nearly 45 years of existence, carved a unique niche for itself in the industry.
Today, they’re recognized as an indispensable supplier of quality instrumentation and trusted partner of the dental community. Brasseler boasts a catalog of over 15,000 products for the dental and surgical professions with offerings that include best-of-class instrumentation used in dental laboratories, as well as specialties like restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and oral hygiene.
The company also has proved itself capable of anticipating emerging trends and market needs, a strength reflected in their use of modern materials to craft precise instrumentation for minimally invasive dentistry, as seen in the ESR CM reciprocating file system. Unlike many other dental product companies, genuine Brasseler USA products are only available to customers through a company representative. Brasseler does not use distributors and many of their products are manufactured in their headquarters in Savannah, GA.
Bypassing the costs associated with distribution, Brasseler’s direct sales model allows it to pass the resulting savings on to customers. Each of the 200+ members of Brasseler USA’s dedicated sales team has in-depth knowledge of dental procedures as well as the solutions needed to predictably achieve success.
The company also offers product literature, training videos, continuing education opportunities, and a multitude of other resources that help customers get the most value out of their Brasseler USA products and take their practice to the next level.
Forza ELM Electric Motor
Rated as a Best Product by Dental Product Shopper evaluators in 2013, the Forza ELM Electric Motor is arguably the most advanced clinical micromotor on the market. Although it’s the lightest motor in its class at 61 grams, the Forza ELM’s robust titanium build offers a powerful 3.4 Ncm of torque, along with a motor speed range of 2,000–40,000 rpm (with attachments, it achieves a system speed range of 100–200,000 rpm).
The Forza ELM also offers an assortment of features geared toward user convenience, including LED fiber optics, 2 programmable settings, easy integration with any dental delivery system, and a 3-year warranty.
Forza V3 Piezo Ultrasonic
Succinctly described by Brasseler as “elegant and intuitive,” the ergonomic Forza V3 handpiece is designed to allow optimal access to the oral cavity while mitigating hand fatigue. Slim and lightweight at only 33 grams, the handpiece is available in non-optic and LED optic versions, the latter of which improves visibility with stunning LED illumination via dual fiber optics.
Likewise, the instrument’s Piezo Accelerator mode automatically provides additional power when you need it, while the availability of a wide range of piezo ultrasonic tips makes the system perfectly suited for a variety of general scaling, perio, and endo procedures.
For added ease of use, Forza V3 has a compact, spacesaving control unit that comfortably fits into any dental operatory, as well as a simple-to-operate interface that permits easy water and power adjustment.
EndoSequence Endodontic File System
Ideal for both endodontists and general practitioners, the EndoSequence file system features uniquely designed rotary files that enhance treatment. EndoSequence files use alternating contact points, allowing them to remain centered without radial lands—this design keeps fi les centered in the canal, reduces torque requirements, and increases their flexibility.
EndoSequence files also have a precision tip and are electropolished, a process that helps remove imperfections that may lead to separation and cracking, and, in turn, ensures a sharper, cleaner, and more durable file. DPS evaluators also report that the EndoSequence handpiece is “userfriendly” with several remarking that the combination of lightweight build, good battery life, and easy handling amount to a satisfying user experience. Overall, the combined features of the EndoSequence file system lend greater cutting efficiency, safety, and ease of use.
ET Diamonds & Carbides
The product of one of Brasseler USA’s many clinician collaborations, ET Diamonds & Carbides were designed by Dr. Ronald Goldstein as a solution to improve finishing and contouring across a range of restorative indications.
ET Carbides come in multiple straight blade designs (8, 16, 30) all of which deliver excellent control, feel, and efficiency. These instruments also possess a safe tip that prevents over-contouring and any damage to soft tissue. Likewise, ET Diamonds are available in head lengths varying from 3 mm to 9 mm, which allows clinicians to always match instruments to tooth anatomy.
Additionally, fine, extra-fine, and ultra-fine diamond grit options provide superior finish and enamel contouring for every procedure. Like all Brasseler USA products, ET Diamonds & Carbides are made to precise specifications and from the fi nest materials.
ESR CM – EndoSequence Reciprocating Controlled Memory Files
Using the latest in NiTi technology, simple and sophisticated ESR CM files are designed to offer clinicians improved safety, efficiency, and performance while preserving more tooth structure than other files.
Similar to several competitive reciprocating files on the market, the ESR CM files are available in multiple sizes and they also feature a reverse-cutting (counter-clockwise) flute design and progressive taper, heat-treated NiTi for prebending, and compatibility with a range of popular electric motors.
The ESR CM file system, combined with the Endo Sync Plus handpiece, allows the file to rotate down the canal until it meets resistance, and then automatically switches to reciprocation to ease through the tight spots. Endodontist and educator Allen Ali Nasseh, DDS, MMSc, says that this technique pays off 3 big ways: greater efficiency when the going is easy, and greater safety when the canal is tighter; a more conservative preparation that preserves dentin coronally; and the ability to combine reciprocating-motion canal prep with hydraulic condensation obturation.
What sets ESR CM fi les apart, however, is their more conservative design, which enables minimally invasive dentistry. ESR CM files also can be sterilized via autoclave and are reportedly more cost-effective than other reciprocating fi les systems, qualities that make them a superior choice by all metrics.
EndoSync PLUS Cordless Handpiece
Reportedly the lightest and most powerful cordless endodontic motor in its class, the EndoSync PLUS is ideal for clinicians in search of a smart yet simple endo handpiece. The EndoSync PLUS weighs only 100 grams but delivers a massive 5.0 Ncm of torque. Additionally, it features highly intuitive disengagement, which optimizes both safety and efficiency for the clinician by constantly measuring and adjusting device performance as needed.
According to Brasseler USA, the EndoSync PLUS is also the most versatile endodontic handpiece on the market: it incorporates the industry’s first and only torque-controlled, fully customizable design and works with traditional rotary files as well as reciprocating files, so the user is never locked into a fixed system.
As a plus, the EndoSync PLUS is preprogrammed for all of Brasseler’s most popular endodontic file systems, a feature that takes the guesswork out of root canal therapy.
EndoSync PLUS also offers the ability to seamlessly link with the EndoSync AI Apex Locator, enabling real-time depth readings without the need for a standalone apex locator and significantly reducing the risk of apex perforation.
EndoSequence Fiber Posts
The best post design is one that matches the shape of the prepared root canal. With endodontic synchronicity, clinicians can match the canal preparation precisely with a similar post. Essentially, the best post drill is the last rotary file used to working length inside the canal.
Brasseler’s EndoSequence Fiber Posts match the shape created by the EndoSequence files, similar to a cast post. According to Brasseler, the best technique is to burn out the necessary amount of gutta-percha or precut the cone to create the desired apical plug.
