Every dental cement brings a unique mix of esthetics, retention and adhesion properties, and biocompatibility. But the bottom line never changes: dental cements have to adhere to both the tooth surface and the restoration, and they have to “stay put” to ensure long-term clinical success. BISCO has a trio of cements that does just that.

TheraCem

A self-adhesive resin cement that provides a continuous calcium and fluoride release,* TheraCem offers a high degree of conversion for enhanced physical properties and is indicated for luting crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and posts, including prefabricated metal/nonmetal or fiber posts.

Containing the adhesion-promoting monomer MDP, it forms a strong bond to zirconia and most substrates, and also has a low film thickness for durable cementation of indirect restorations. With a high compressive strength and formulation that allows for quick and easy removal of excess cement, TheraCem is easy to identify on radiographs for quick and effective diagnoses. Additionally, it features an automix dual-syringe that provides a consistent mix for immediate delivery.“

This cement bonds incredibly well,” shared Alan Pressman, DMD, in Spring Valley, NY. “TheraCem is not only easy to use, but it also releases calcium—something not all products offer. I’ve tried other brands, and they tend to be more technique-sensitive and harder to use. TheraCem bonds to everything with minimal technique sensitivity.”

Duo-Link Universal

Duo-Link Universal is a dual-cured adhesive resin cement formulated for all indirect restorations. It is compatible with all dental materials, especially when combined with BISCO’s All-Bond Universal, Z-Prime Plus, and Porcelain Primer. Duo-Link Universal offers a high degree of conversion in both light- and self-cure modes and comes in 2 esthetic shades: Universal and Milky White. It also is radiopaque, ideal for all CAD/CAM restorations, and available in an automix dual-syringe for a consistent mix and immediate delivery.

“I have been using Duo-Link Universal for over 10 years,” said Bruce Winter, DDS, who practices in Milwaukee, WI. “It’s reliable, consistent, and versatile.”

 Choice 2

Looking to upgrade your porcelain, zirconia, or composite veneer workflow? A light-cured luting cement ideal for veneer restorations, Choice 2 has a low film thickness to ensure the restoration is completely seated. It exhibits color stability for highly esthetic restorations and comes in a range of VITA and chromatic shades, along with corresponding try-in pastes, which are sold separately.

“I appreciated the low film thickness, which allowed for easier seating and cleanup,” said Manny Chopra, DMD, a prosthodontist in Cincinnati, OH.
