Single-use composite polishers offer restorative efficiency and high shine esthetics

Single-use composite polishers from MeisingerPolishing and finishing correctly can mean the difference between a successful and an unsuccessful tooth restoration. Inadequate finishing and polishing of direct composites can have repercussions beyond compromised esthetics. The rougher the finished surface, the greater the possibility of bacterial accumulation, discoloration of the restoration along the margin, and secondary caries formation.

Aside from these clinical implications, the finishing and polishing portion of a restoration are the final steps that matter most to patients, as they may be able to detect roughness of as little as 0.30 µm with their tongue. Thus, the need for a dependable polishing system with as few steps as possible is desirable for any restoratively driven practice.

Simple, High-Luster Polishing

MEISINGER’s COMPOSITE SINGLES are single-use polishers designed to produce a brilliant luster on all composite materials using a revolutionary shape design. “The entire industry is moving towards single-use items for office efficiency reasons,” said Anthony Gianni, Marketing Manager for MEISINGER USA. “That, along with quality results, is the challenge that COMPOSITES SINGLES addresses.”

As one of the forerunners of the single-use instrument movement, MEISINGER’s innovative design of COMPOSITE SINGLES allows for quicker, more efficient polishing with no processing time.

“Along with eliminating chances of cross-contamination, not having to sterilize or re-sterilize the instruments will keep things in the office moving quickly,” said Gianni.

While COMPOSITE SINGLES keep things flowing in the operatory, what's even more impressive is the resulting high natural shine that these single-use polishers are able to quickly create. “COMPOSITE SINGLES were designed to quickly and comfortably create a lustrous and natural shine on any surface," added Gianni.

Squid-Shaped Polisher from Meisinger A Shape for Every Case

Four different shapes—Point, Twist, Cup, and the newly offered Squid—allow operators to access hard-to-reach areas. In particular, the Squid shape, which was designed for occlusal polishing, reaches even deep fissures with ease.

“The Squid shape is an innovative, new shape that was designed to provide access to hard to-reach areas,” said Gianni.

Individual COMPOSITE SINGLES polishers are sold in packs of 50, while an Introductory Pack offers an assortment of all shapes and grits in the product line.
